Darrelyn Marx

Staging and Interpretation Instructor

Darrelyn Marx is currently Jeff nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Review for her portrayal of Mrs. Fairfax in Circle Theatre's production of JANE EYRE. She is a vocal music and drama teacher, and a director with an MFA in Theatre/directing from the University of Illinois.

Darrelyn recently appeared as Lady Jane in the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company's production of PATIENCE, Apple Tree Theatre's production of A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE, and Darrelyn is presently singing with The New Classic Singers.

While attaining a degree in vocal music and speech/theatre at the University of Minnesota, Moorhead, Darrelyn participated in choirs, opera workshop, and musical theatre. Favorite roles include leads in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, 1776, THE KING AND I, TWO BY TWO, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, and COMPANY. Darrelyn has also performed as a church soloist, and drum ensemble vocal soloist. While in Canada Darrelyn sang with the award-winning Aurora Singers and can be heard as a soloist on one of their recordings.

This is Darrelyn's second season teaching staging and interpretation classes at Wunder Studios.
