Nancy
Wiebe Mazurowski earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music
from North Park College (now North Park University) in Chicago,
where she studied voice with Karen Bauer, and coached with
Elizabeth Buccheri, and Terree Shofner. After graduation,
she studied with Diane Ragains, Winifred Faix Brown, Judith
Haddon (presently) and coached with Richard Boldrey and
Judith Jackson (presently).
Ms. Mazurowski has been a member of the Grant Park Symphony
Chorus (1991-2001), Glen Ellyn’s New Classic Singers
(1997-1999), and the Chicago Symphony Chorus (1999-2001).
Her post-graduate studies include opera workshop with Ronald
Combs at Northeastern Illinois University and acting classes
with Kathy Scambiatterra at Center Theatre Ensemble and
The Artistic Home.
She appeared as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Servilia
(La Clemenza di Tito), Despina, and Fiordiligi (Così
fan tutte) in performances of opera scenes given in Michigan,
Indiana, Illinois and Ohio through N.O.V.A., the New Organization
for Vocal Artistry. She has been the soprano soloist for
performances of Mozart’s Requiem, Saint-Saëns’
Christmas Oratorio, Fauré’s Requiem, Haydn’s
Lord Nelson Mass and Rutter’s Requiem in Chicagoland
area churches and universities.
Ms. Mazurowski is a teacher of voice as well as a soloist,
and maintains a studio of forty students at Maine South
High School in Park Ridge, Illinois, and additional adult
students who study at her home studio in Chicago.
