Andrea Amdahl Taylor

Vocal instructor, All-State Choral Camp

Andrea Amdahl Taylor, a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, has been teaching private voice lessons since 1998, maintaining a studio at her home as well as at Vernon Hills High School. She previously taught lessons at Maine West High
School in Des Plaines. She holds a Master's in Music from Northwestern University, having double majored in Music Education and Vocal Performance, and a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University. Ms. Taylor has been the vocal director for summer musicals at CenterStage in Lake Forest, including Kiss Me, Kate and Oliver!

In addition to teaching, Ms. Taylor also maintains a busy performing schedule. She is a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and the Chicago Symphony Singers, and she has appeared with several companies in Illinois and Wisconsin, including Intimate Opera, the Festival Choir of Madison, Music at St. James, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Bowen Park Opera, da Corneto Opera, and Light Opera Works. Recent engagements include Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring, the Princess in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, and Bach's Mass in B Minor.
