Whether you are just beginning or well on the road to vocal mastery, Wunder Studios excels at training singers. We offer a wide range of options for both beginning and advanced singers.

Group Voice Class (ages 5 to 12)

All children should sing! The earlier they start the greater their potential. Our group voice class offers a great combination of skill building and fun that emphasizes music fundamentals. No experience is necessary, just be ready to sing! Open to ages 5 to 12. Meets Thurs, 4 or 5pm. Min 8/max 25. Cost: $140 for 10 weeks.

Group Voice Lessons (ages 9 to 12)

A 30-minute semi-private lesson once a week in groups of four helps singers develop their voices and prepares them for advanced study. Lessons are scheduled by appointment and can begin any time. Cost: $170 for ten weeks.

Private Voice Lessons

One-on-one instruction options for singers include voice lessons, vocal coaching, and vocal répétiteur services. Finding the right instructor and type of instruction can make an enormous difference in a student’s progress. We will match you with an instructor who fits your learning style, goals, and personality. All private lessons are scheduled by appointment with an open enrollment system. Lessons may begin at any time.

Park Ridge Children’s Chorus

The mission of the Park Ridge Children’s Chorus is to develop and train the vocal and musical talents of aspiring singers. The chorus emphasizes group singing of classical choral literature, predominately English, French, German, Italian and multi-cultural repertoire.

The Park Ridge Children’s chorus is open to ages 5 to 12 by audition only. Participation is a full year commitment encompassing three ten-week quarters. Multiple performance opportunities will be offered throughout the year. Thurs, 6–7pm. Cost per 10-week quarter: $140. Schedule an audition by calling 847/685-2030.

Meditation for Performers

The ability to perform at a high level requires a sense of inner peace, and an ability to focus clearly. In this class, participants will learn meditation techniques for freeing the artist for artistic mastery. Meets Wednesday, 8—9pm; ages 12 & up. Cost: $140 for ten weeks.

Vocal Performance Workshop
July 27 - 31, 2009

Transform yourself by learning what it takes to succeed at our 8th annual Vocal Performance Workshop. Spend a week examining every aspect of how you prepare, how you present yourself, and how you relate to your audience. The workshop includes: five private coaching sessions, five master classes, the audition workshop, daily coaching in staging and interpretation, daily classes in audition technique, and guest speakers on vocal topics. The workshop concludes with a performance on the evening of July 31. Repertoire is open to opera, art song, and musical theatre. Click here for further details. Cost: $795.
